Redeux Energy is seeking a Senior Accountant reporting to the Controller. The Senior Accountant will have full cycle accounting responsibilities including payables and receivables entry, monthly journals, and preparation of financial statements. The person in this role will be an independent contributor in a small, efficient team focused on utilizing modern finance tools that enable automation through AI and effective system integrations. This role will require cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure accurate project allocations and accounting treatment.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Controller to build, document, and implement processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
- Act as a finance business partner in providing information and support to other departments of the company.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closings
- Reconcile all accounts (balance sheet and P&L) and update all schedules (prepaids, accruals, assets, etc.)
- Monitor syncing of integrated finance software systems
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
- Manage/record monthly accruals including payroll accruals
- Review, analyze, and re-class P&L activity as needed to ensure proper income statement presentation
- Support the year-end audit and filing of tax returns
- Research and document application of accounting standards as needed
- Work on other ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary in a changing environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Preferred 1 + years in public accounting/audit and 2+ years in relevant industry- project accounting, renewables, construction, real estate, or oil and gas
- Highly organized, self-directed, and proactive
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience in cloud-based ERP systems and utilizing support feature to diagnose transaction errors make minor modifications to implementation or configuration. Examples include Expensify, Bill.com, or Airbase integrations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience with writing, editing, or collaboration on operational procedures
- Active CPA or candidate preferred
